It’s just a shape. It’s just a body, moving. It’s what’s going on in the mind, and how the way the body moves affects the mind, and calms the mind, and brings peace to all the chatter that counts. It’s just a body, learning tricks and moving β¨. Yoga aint about the shapes, but they certainly feel good!

Get into your hips, engage your glutes and take a twist for your spine! Repeat it all on the other side….
β¨try and get the ankle bone on the thigh, but don’t worry about how close you bring everything in…you can also just stay still with the ankle on the thigh and the knee bent out to the side
β¨if you do take the option to lift up, squeeze your glutes (your butt) at the top of the lift
β¨go slower than this…I sped up the video π
β¨when you twist, you can bring the foot inside the thigh to make it easier instead of outside the thigh
β¨keep the back nice and long, so lengthen before you twist
β¨decompress to the other side at the end
β¨repeat with the other leg
β¨enjoy!
Brand new flavours. Questionable consistency on the grid.

The days are slow but the weeks are quick.
Time bends and shapes itself, weaving in and out of consciousness as the years start to collect and merge. Another winter, another summer….when did we forget how to take it all in? Life is so unbelievably precious, made even more pertinent by what is happening in the world right now. If we have the chance to live a good life, it feels like we have a duty to at least try and honour that. Taking pleasure in the smallest of things brings a lot of joy to my days ♥οΈ. A good Feb βοΈ.
New year, same disposition. Six days late with this post, but I’m not subscribing to anyone else’s timeline these days. The days are long, but the weeks and months are short. The concept of time existing purely so we don’t experience everything all at once is a comforting one. There’s a plan, and we all have time (but, you know, let’s be intentional with that time and not waste it!). 2026: LFG!!! Yoga a go go. Watch this space for retreat info coming soon π
♥οΈ
A switch flicked in my head recently. A dramatic and necessary mindset switch which has manifested as a quiet and complete surrender. There comes a time when you realise that not only do your thoughts not define you, but that the thoughts themselves are simply habits we’ve formed and kept recreating day after day, year after year. It’s so hard, but this little thousand year old practice called yoga really helps mentally break through the noise to realise what’s really important to you and what matters, and what’s just fluff. The shackles seem to be well and truly off, and it’s feeling pretty good. I came to yoga because I was bendy and wanted to go further. I stayed for the peace. It will never cease to amaze me how it shows up in every facet of life. ♥οΈ. Also, soz for the lack of energy this week, norovirus had it’s wicked way with me so I was on the back foot. Now, back to those Christmas movies. π
Another year older, and maybe even a tiny bit wiser.
Birthdays feel more absurd with every year that passes. The age thing has never bothered me, but time passing has always bothered me. I remember being in floods of tears as I turned 10 and said goodbye to single digits (and vowed to make it to triple digits). Maybe it’s a fear of not having enough time to experience everything as life is so transient; maybe it’s unconsciously not being where I want to be, despite feeling content and happy in the moment. This year I’m leaning into softness, which is hard to do when you’re on your own, but the world is so terrifyingly hard and often so very fake (AI and aging backwards can do one for starters) that I feel like softness is something real and tangible. Thank you Cassis for a happy couple of days embedded in nature (not pictured but included: thunderstorms, bad airbnb, nearly being caught skinny dipping and some terrible food….just to keep it all real. ). See y’all at class tomorrow !♥οΈ

A week late with this reel but last Saturday was a heavenly yoga day retreat @theapplehousenaddervalley ! Thank you so much to those who made it….I am forever blown away that you come to these days at all, let alone multiple times over the years (shout out to @joannie_stalker who comes all the way from Scotland ♥οΈ). These days are so special, even if we get rained on during the hike !
Whilst every retreat is very personal, I put my heart and soul into this one as I was doing the cooking as well; those blackberries in the crumble were foraged by me and the cooking apples stolen from my lovely neighbour @hare_house ! I could not have done it without my incredible friend Katie (who isn’t on insta but her husband might show her) whose invaluable help made it all go smoothly and she arguably contributed the best part of the day: the chocolate cake (I would argue in favour of that, despite it being the only thing I didn’t make).
These days are magical; I can confidently say that because it’s nothing to do with me. The moment you step into @theapplehousenaddervalley you are in awe of the setting, everyone who comes is always incredibly friendly so before and after the classes all I can hear is chatter and laughter. Bringing people together to do yoga, feeding them healthy home made food and marching anyone who is willing (no one has to hike, it’s pretty nice hanging at The Apple House!) round the woods and the fields and chucking anyone who wants to swim in the freshwater pool sounds like a perfect day to me. And snacks…there are a lot of snacks around. And MERCH! Very excited about the water bottles. So thank you, thank you THANK YOU! And can’t wait for the next one!

I always wonder if the journey back to the airport at the end of a trip is what the last few moments of life will be like: travelling back to where it all began, you look back over what’s happened, feeling like you’ve done so much, but it’s over so quickly. However much you try and savour the moment, if you zoom out, it’s the blink of an eye in the great timeline of our existence. As the train passes, images flicker like a rolodex of people you love, places you feel alive, moment to moment, emotion to emotion.
Trying to condense this trip into 90 seconds of joy was hard….first draft was six and half minutes π. Had to take out a few flower close ups, more mountains and endless laughs with my buddy @tmingi but they’re not forgotten. This life we’re living is going to pass us by whether we like it or not, so trying to enjoy ourselves along the way and find some form of purpose is probably the only chance we’ve got at trying to make it count.
I’ve always loved America and particularly this part of it, so thank you Colorado and Wyoming, you did me proud. And hey, I even reversed down a mountain road with a sheer drop and survived, which was wholly unexpected at the time! β¨πΊπΈ.

Wyoming: you had me at yeehaw. The altitude hit me like a sledgehammer on this trip (my voice even changed π) but that wasn’t going to stop us going even higher, in every possible way (except that way kids, I aint into π). Unfortunately I neither saw nor married a cowboy, but a girl can dream. Floating on the wind in a wicker basket, suspended between land, cloud and sound, expertly piloted by my buddy @tmingi was an absolute highlight, despite the fact my Garmin kept telling me I was incredibly stressed. Frolicking in the mountains and lakes and watching a concert at the top of a mountain were core memories made in a friendship that means the world to me. We even made it into Idaho with a view across to Montana ! Thank you Tarynne, you are simply the freaking best and I love you so much ♥οΈ. Oh, and thanks for suggesting we run the final 4kms down the mountain at dusk so we didn’t become grizzly bear food, that was an excellent call π».
PS I got back yesterday…all classes are GO - can’t wait to see y’all!

Crested BEAUT.
I’m petitioning for a name change from Butte to Beaut for obvious reasons β°οΈβ¨.
Haven’t been to Colorado for a few years now, so coming back has been really special. Massive thanks to my friend for lending me her place in the mountains!! Also massive thanks to that horse for finally lifting it’s head after about 5 minutes of me making noises at it…..worth the wait for the picture!
